This is an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a highly acquisitive, PE-backed technology business based in central London on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract, covering maternity leave. You will be joining at a key time for this market-leading brand that is growing significantly, having hired an additional 50 employees in 2024.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the accounting for one of the largest brands in the group. The role will manage one Part Qualified Accountant and will be responsible for the financial reporting, management accounts, and VAT for the brand.

Duties will include:

  • Taking ownership of the management accounts and month-end close for one entity
  • Managing and developing one Part Qualified Accountant
  • Responsibility for the reporting packs and commentary for the brand to be reported to senior management
  • Playing a key part at year-end including managing statutory accounts and audit queries
  • Ownership of the cashflow forecasting and VAT returns
  • Supporting in driving process improvement across the wider finance team
  • Providing commentary and analysing variances on the monthly reports, to be reported back to the senior stakeholders

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience working in a technology or digital business where you have had exposure to capital expenditure and accrued income. You will have experience managing a small team previously or have supervised Part Qualified Accountants. You must be comfortable taking ownership for the month-end, management accounts, and statutory accounts for a business. Ideally, you will have worked for a fast growth business, private equity experience is beneficial. Knowledge of NetSuite is desirable. The business is looking for a good communicator that will thrive at working in a fast-paced environment and who can challenge and create solutions.
