Head of Commercial Finance | Permanent role | JRROC31781 | £90,000-£95,000 + bonus + benefits | Central London

A Head of Commercial Finance is required to work on a permanent basis for a fast-growing consumer tech/e-commerce business based in their London Head Office (hybrid 2 days in the office). You will be working for a PE-backed business that has grown exponentially through acquisition and organic growth.

Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of the business’s commercial finance function, leading a team of 3 Analysts.  The role will be part of the senior leadership team, working directly with the C-Suite to drive the business strategy and challenge from a financial perspective.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting & planning cycles for the business
  • Business partnering with the senior leadership team (through to CEO level) including providing commercial insight by revenue stream & challenging the strategy from a financial perspective
  • Leading and developing a team of 3 Commercial Analysts
  • Implementing and managing automation across the commercial finance function
  • Managing headcount analysis & reporting for the group
  • Preparing presentations including board reports and investor reports for the CFO and presenting when needed
  • Driving and implementing improved KPI reporting to enable commercial decision-making

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience leading a commercial finance function for a business or division. You will ideally have worked in an eCommerce/consumer tech business with a headcount of 150+ or have knowledge of a subscription-based business.  Experience partnering with the senior leadership team is essential, as is experience leading a small team.  You must know what good looks like from a commercial finance perspective, be able to drive change, & challenge the C-Suite.
