JasperRose are partnering with a market‑leading UK group who are looking to hire a Head Office Accountant on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, joining their Central Finance team at a pivotal time.

This role is based in their Central London head office on a hybrid basis, offering broad exposure across multiple Head Office cost centres and entities.

As the Head Office Accountant, you will take full ownership of period‑end, reporting, budgeting and statutory accounting, acting as the key finance contact for senior stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role with real breadth, suited to someone who enjoys ownership, partnering and improving the quality of financial information.

Your daily duties include:

Owning period‑end and year‑end close across assigned entities
Delivering clear management reporting, commentary and forward‑looking analysis
Business partnering Head Office cost centre owners on spend, variance and key decisions
Preparing statutory accounts for selected companies
Completing and reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet recs
Investigating variances, aged balances and reconciling items
Supporting internal and external audit requirements
Ensuring robust financial controls and adherence to accounting policies
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and VAT return preparation
Working cross‑functionally with Central Finance, Group Finance and auditors

The successful candidate:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Strong background in financial reporting and month‑end close
Experience preparing statutory accounts
Confident business partner with excellent communication skills
Proficient in Excel with strong analytical capability
Experience with finance systems (Great Plains ideal but not essential)
Detail‑driven, proactive and comfortable working at pace
Enjoys working in a hands‑on, collaborative Head Office environment
