£26,000 - £31,000

This is an opportunity for a Senior Finance Assistant to join a growing health & beauty brand, based in Central London on a permanent basis. You will be joining at a key time as the group plans to acquire further brands and expand their presence in the market.

The role will have responsibility for the transactional function and assist with month end duties for one of the three brands the business owns and will report into the Management Accountant, sitting within a larger finance team. The successful candidate will have extensive exposure with the internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full ownership of the sales and purchase ledgers on SAP
  • Assisting with the production of the management accounts for a £3m T/O brand
  • Preparation and posting of journals relating to the retail side of the business
  • Assisting with the balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for the multi-channel online accounts including providing commentary on variances
  • Assisting with the production of the cash flow forecast to the Directors of the Group on a monthly basis
  • Liaising with store managers on a regular basis to ensure that all figures have been reported ahead of month end close

The successful candidate will be studying towards a professional qualification such as AAT/CIMA/ACCA with the ability to take ownership for transactional duties and have some exposure to month end processes. Prior experience working within the consumer sector (ideally multi-site) is desirable. You must have intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and v lookups) and experience with SAP is preferable but not essential. You will be a problem solver by nature and have a can-do attitude. This role offers the opportunity for autonomy of your workload, you must therefore be driven in nature and be able to work unsupervised at times.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a growing group where you will make a real impact. The benefits offered include study support, discounted products across all the brands and a supportive line manager. During probation the role will require travel into the offices 5 days a week, however following a successful probation period a hybrid working pattern can be implemented.
