A Senior Finance Manager (Group) is required to work for a private equity backed consumer business based in Central London (hybrid working). This is an opportunity to join a business that achieved record breaking sales in 2022 and has continued to perform very well in the market this year, resulting in multiple store openings and international expansion in 2024.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership for the group reporting across 8 international countries. The role will manage a small team and will be responsible for a variety of projects including supporting with new markets, ESG reporting and system improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the production of the annual consolidated statutory group financial statements under UK GAAP (8 international entities)
  • Overseeing the preparation of the group management accounts for 8 international entities
  • Working as the main point of contact for the group reporting and management accounts for the board and private equity group
  • Management and development of a team of 2 direct reports
  • Ownership of the weekly cash reporting to the business including management of FX rates and hedging
  • Involvement in a significant number of projects including an IFRS16 project, improvement of systems and financial controls and ESG reporting
  • Working as the technical accounting expert including preparing and reviewing papers relating to hedge accounting and share based payments

Skill set required:

To be considered you must be an ACA/CA Qualified Accountant (top 10) with 5+ years PQE experience in industry. Previous experience working for a multi-million turnover business where you have dealt with FX rates and consolidation of international entities is essential. You will be a proven people manager with the ability to upskill and develop a team. Knowledge of hedging, share based payments and cash flow management is desirable but not essential. You will have an eye for process improvement and have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to liaise and influence the wider finance team and senior management.
