A Senior Group Finance Manager is required to work for a multi-million turnover consumer business on a permanent basis in Central London (hybrid working). The business has achieved record-breaking sales over the past 12 months and is continuing to drive growth across the group by entering new international markets and through acquisitions.

 

This role works as part of the finance senior leadership team and will be overseeing group reporting as well as the transactional finance function within the company. Leading a team of 3 direct reports and further indirect reports, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls are in place and supporting the team as the business embarks on finance transformation projects.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating & developing a team of 3 direct reports and a wider indirect team (15+ indirect reports)
  • Overseeing the group reporting function, working under IFRS and across several entities
  • Management of the group consolidation across 8 international entities
  • Ownership of cash forecasting and weekly cash reporting, including dealing with FX
  • Leading the annual audit and managing the relationships with the auditors
  • Overseeing the transactional finance team (accounts payable and revenue) and working as the point of escalation for any queries
  • Continuously looking at ways to drive change and implement more robust financial controls across the group
  • Working alongside the senior finance leadership team on a variety of finance transformation projects including leading on an IFRS16 project and driving ESG reporting across the group

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be practice-trained with at least 4 years post-qualified experience, including experience working in a group reporting function for a global business. You will know what good looks like in a group reporting function and will now be looking to take a step up into a broader role, overseeing transactional finance as well as group finance. You must have previously managed and thrived at leading a team through change. Experience working for a consumer or stock-related business is preferred but not essential. A growth mindset is the key to success in this role, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and driving change in what is an innovative and entrepreneurial environment.
